The Italian breweries keep working on their recipes and, sometimes, on completely new beers. We must, from time to time, take a look at the new products, and this time many news came from renowned breweries. We going to start from some seasonal, namely the Christmas beer from Bad Attitude, called Rudolph. Its most important feature does not affect senses, but the fact of being connected to a commendable initiative of social solidarity.

'10I’m not going to Oktoberfest but I’ll drink one
From tomorrow until October 4 Munich will host the 2010 edition of the Oktoberfest, an event that needs no introduction. The Bavarian town will be invaded by millions of visitors, who don’t want to miss the opportunity to join the party, participating in the most largest collective revelry of the moment. Besides being the name of the festival, Oktoberfest, however, is also a specific German beer style originally brewed specially for the occasion. As craft beer geeks are usually not very interested in this party, I seize the opportunity to talk about this particular kind of beer.

'10New beers from Toccalmatto, Bad Attitude and Birrificio Sorrento
Last Saturday afternoon I attended the presentation of Zona Cesarini, the new beer from Toccalmatto held at Domus Birrae. The event was attended by Bruno Carilli (owner of the brewery) and Alessio “Allo” Gatti (the brewer), who explained their new creation to the present. For the occasion a two line tap has been set up for the Grooving Hop and of course for the new beer. Definitely a beautiful event and what’s more for free.

To celebrate this occasion, I then picked up Anchor Steam Beer, which is one of the most significant products of the American brewing culture.

'10Cantina Baladin and other news from Teo Musso
Everybody knows that Teo Musso, Baladin brewery founder , is an endlessly creative guy. This makes him a loved and hated bigwig: some welcome every news from Piozzo with open arms while others brand them as mere business deals. Obviously there are also those who try to analyze in a sound way each project and assessing his work considering only the quality of his beers, without external constraints.

'10The latest beer news from Italy
Today we take a look at the latest beer news from Italy. We start from what can be considered the most important Italian islander brewery, namely Barley of Maracalagonis, in Sardinia. Here the talented brewer Nicola Perra has recently launched a new beer, called Tùvi Tùvi. The name is based on a typical Sardinian dialectal expression that indicates a sudden and disastrous forward fall. The connection is with the extreme drinkability of Tùvi Tùvi that just slips easily down the throat.
