'09The introduction of the new Birrificio Joker in Milan
The city of Milan has been enhanced with a new brewery: Wednesday, October 14th at the Isola della Birra pub (via Medardo Rosso), new Birrificio Joker will officially introduct itself to all enthusiasts for the first time ever. The happening, lead by Lorenzo Dabove aka Kuaska, will be an opportunity to learn about the project and to taste the first beer from this producer, the Prater, which belongs to the Vienna style – the Prater is one of the best attractions in the Austrian capital, which named this type of beer.
At least initially, the Joker will be a “virtual” brewery, without a production plant. For the realization of its beers (the Prater will follow soon others) it will use the production plant of the Babb brewery, located in Manerbio. The company consists of 3 members, one of which is Bruno Rota, who Milan fans will know because one partner of Isola della Birra. The milanese pub will be the pouring point of reference for the brewery, as will earmark at least one tap to the Joker products.
The brewer will be instead Mike Barbieri, who has a long experience in different breweries of northern Italy, as Centrale della Birra in Cremona or Birrificio Ambrosiano. According to Kuaska, its Prater is rather centered on Vienna style, with classic notes of toasted malt well in evidence and an alcohol degree around 5%.
If you want to know Birrificio Joker and his first beer, the date is for next Wednesday from 20.00 at Isola della Birra. Any other information will be available on Kuaska’s website.
