“Cento” World Beer Party @ Brasserie 4:20 in Rome

4_20From Thursday the 7th to Monday the 11th of January 2010, Brasserie 4:20 in Rome will lead a special event: the “Cento” World Beer Party! Every hour the staff will release two new beers and in just 5 days 100 of the best beers of the world will pass through the taps. They’ll serve beers from Spain, England, Italy, Germany, Belgium, Holland, Denmark, Norway, United States…

During these 5 days, it will also present a small selection of vintages among those that they have collected over the years and aged in their cellars. There will be two really special moments not to miss: Friday night at 21.00 and Monday at midnight, when on taps will be a handpicked selection of 30 Lambics, Gueuzes, Krieks and Framboises! All the Lambics that will be served are non filtered, non pasteurized and non sweetened; chosen one by one from the selection of each manufacturer, and taken directly from the barrels.

For the complete lineup of the beers (hour by hour), my advice is to check out the Ratebeer forum. However, this is the amazing list of breweries present at the event: Agullons, Guinea (Spain), 3 Fonteinen, Boon, Cantillon, De La Senne, De CamDe Troch, Girardin, Hanssens, Kerkom, Lindemans, Morte Subite, Struise (Belgium), Anchor, Great Divide, HydroBrewWorks, Left Hand, Lost Abbey, Port Brewing, Pizza Port, Smuttynose, Southern Tier, Uncommon, Victory (USA), De Molen (Holland), Brewdog (Scotland), Maxlrainer (Germany), Mikkeller (Denmark), Montegioco, Revelation Cat, White Dog (Italy), Nøgne Ø (Norway), Plevna (Finland).

Producers of most of the beers, along with other brewers, publicans, writers and beerlovers will also attend the event. Every evening Brasserie 4:20 will present beer-cuisine seafood dishes paired with the beers of the evening, all according to the daily catch.

Warning: the admission is for free but to be sure you can find a place it’s strongly recommended a reservation. You can book by sending an email to alexliberati@gmail.com
