The town of Nembro, home of The Dome

Michele Galati is one of the most popular publicans among Italian fans because of its Abbazia di Sherwood, a pub that has established itself over the years as a must in northern Italy. After several successes in the field, he is going to open a second point of reference for the craft beer, which will be officially inaugurated on Thursady 15th October. Located in the town of Nembro, in the province of Bergamo, the new pub will be called The Dome and will boast a selection of taps and bottles enviable. In the past we have already mentioned it because in December will host the course for homebrewers by MOBI.

The opening night will begin at 19.00 and will be a must for all enthusiasts. First, because it will be lead by some of the best experts from our own, specifically Kuaska, Schigi and Giorgio Marconi. Then because two of the best italian brewers will join:  Riccardo Franzosi from Montegioco and Beppe Vento from BI-DU. Furthermore, because there will be a free buffet for all participants. Finally, because the beers available on tap will be lots of high level, with some spectacular news.

Let’s start with the gems of the evening, made by the talented Riccardo Franzosi. The brewer has created three beers specifically for The Dome: Gina liscia and Gina mossa  (two special versions of its extraordinary La Mummia) and Lasalagabif (a Stout). The latter will be served with handpump, as well as the Jehol from BI-DU. The list of italian and foreign beers on draught is impressive: Quarta Runa (Montegioco), ArtigianALE (BI-DU), Allgäuer Pils, Lupulus (3 Fourquets), Chouffe Houblon (La Chouffe), Oerbier (De Dolle), Abbaye de Saint Bon-Chien (BFM), Trashy Blonde and Tokyo (Brewdog), Aventinus (Schneider), Sierra Nevada Pale Ale (Sierra Nevada) and Snake Dog IPA (Flying Dog).

This greedy array of beers on tap is joined by about 70 bottles from around the world, with the full range of Belgian brewery Cantillon. The Dome is in Nembro (BG) at via delle Case Sparse Europa, 15. You can reach it by the motorway exit for Bergamo and then head towards Val Seriana.

Who is in the area can not pass up this great event. Good luck to Michael and his The Dome!
