Le Birre della Merla is an italian beer festival that will take place in Piedmont on Friday 29th and Saturday 30th January. According with the organization, Le Birre della Merla is a great beer party, in a familiar atmospheare, in a lovely place. Every year, in the last three days of January (traditionally the coldest days of the year), a lot of people attend the festival, drinking, eating, having a speech, finding old and new friends, having fun, tasting new beers and so on.

The event is hosted by La Locanda del Grue, located not far from Tortona (AL), in the south eastern part of Piedmont. La Locanda del Grue is the perfect place for a party: it has a great dehor, it’s far from towns, has a great hall inside, a great kitchen, a big room where to sleep. The drafts are in the dehor, and there are some tanks with fire inside to heat yourself and around many places with bales of hay where sit down. You have to face the cold to have a beer, hoping to heat yourself while you drink good craft beer .
