MoBI is the Italian Beer Movement born one years ago to represent the legitimate interests of craft beer consumers. As many other associations, it will be present at Pianeta Birra in Rimini – the largest European beverage trade fair -  with is own booth (pad. C3 n.068), where will organize some interesting events (free entry).

One of the main MoBI tasks is to organise beer culture and tasting courses. In this event four top tasting teachers will simulate a course to propose an abstract of their lessons. The themes of each lesson will be, respectively, production, beer styles, introductory notes on tasting (by an expert taster and international judge) with two craft beers tasting and finally the beer / food pairing by an expert sommelier with tasting of a dessert accompanied by an Italian-made beer.

To date, some manufacturers already included in the their product labels  more information than those strictly required by the legislation, but without a common ratio and still leaving room for possible further additions.
MOBI has developed a “label disciplinary” so that the consumer can obtain all relevant information: 1) to better motivate their choice, 2) be addressed in the tasting and food pairing, 3) to best evaluate the beer.

Each MoBI member having paid the 2010 membership fee (by February 1, 2010) will receive on the first half of February, their personal card together with a discounted admission ticket (3 euro entry instead of a 38 normal entry). Agreements with the exhibition were taken to allow members entrance with the presentation of MoBI membership card.
