As every year in May one of the most original beer event in Italy is back: the Pils Pride. A event hosted by Birrificio Italiano of Lurago Marinone (Co), focused on a single beer style. The aim is to discover, trough the thirteen beers available on tap, the real nature of a beer style which over time has been altered and diluted by industrial brews. So, if you are a Pils lover or if you just want to experience all the different expressions of the style, Saturday, May 8 and Sunday, May 9 Birrificio Italiano is the place to be.

The available beers on tap will be: the Italian Extra Hop & Tipopils (Birrificio Italiano), Levante (Statalenove), Magutt (Lambrate), Omnia (Babb), P.I.L.S. (Pausa Cafè), Sausa Pils (Vecchio Birraio), Grigna (Lariano), Via Emilia (Ducato); the German Zwickel Pils (Beck), Schönramer Keller Pils (Schönram), Jever Pils (Jever) and Radeberger Pils (Radeberger).

Many collateral events are scheduled. A blind “pre-tasting” at Saturday, 11.30, will allow the participants (max 20 people, booking compulsory, 25 €, a main dish included) to taste every beer and attempt to tell them . At 17.00 who has guessed at least 8 beers will win ten tokens.

Sunday afternoon, at 14.00, Giovanni Campari, Birrificio del Ducato founder and head-brewer, will host a free three beer tasting. During the event will also present a stand with many hop varieties, recounted and explained by an expert.
