'10Brewer of the Year 2010: my report
In recent days Nicola Perra, Barley brewery founder and head brewer, has won the Brewer of the Year award held by online magazine Fermento Birra. The official awarding ceremony was held at the Open Baladin in Rome, during which it was possible to taste the beers of the Sardinian brewer paired with some seafood dishes. The evening was hosted by Kuaska, in the presence of Perra, Nicola Utzeri of Fermento Birra and lots of other friends.

'10The latest beer news from Italy
Today we take a look at the latest beer news from Italy. We start from what can be considered the most important Italian islander brewery, namely Barley of Maracalagonis, in Sardinia. Here the talented brewer Nicola Perra has recently launched a new beer, called Tùvi Tùvi. The name is based on a typical Sardinian dialectal expression that indicates a sudden and disastrous forward fall. The connection is with the extreme drinkability of Tùvi Tùvi that just slips easily down the throat.

'10Barley’s BB10 wins the Italian Craft Beer Championship
Last Monday, during the italian tv show BQ, were announced the results of CIBA, the Italian Craft Beer Championship. The prize, organized every year by ADB (association of beer tasters), wants to reward the best national beers, divided into categories, and the three best beers ever. The winner (among 347 beers) was BB10 from Barley brewery, an excellent product, made with cooked must (sapa) of Cannonau grapes. The pearl of the Sardinian brewery preceded two Montegioco’s productions: Dolii Raptor (oak aged and re-fermented with white wine yeast) and Quarta Runa (with Volpedo peaches).

'09Enyò 2009 e BB Evò: new beers from Birra Boero and Barley
Birra Boero announced the version 2009 of their Enyò. This beer, created for the first time two years ago, it is born from a brilliant solidarity project for the supporting of the inhabitants of Togo villages. The whole income will be devolved to the Onlus Mama Africa, that developes a series of solidarity micro-projects since 2005, concerning surgeries, schooling, cultural activities, subsidies to agricultural enterprises, thanks to the volunteering experience of Prof. Enzo Liguoro.
