Today we take a look at new beers around the world. No wonder we must start our survey in the States, where brewers can’t stand twiddling their thumbs. Garret Oliver, head brewer at Brooklyn Brewery, announced his new venture: Manhattan Project, which must be regarded as the link between cocktails and beer. Since some years ago David Wondrich revealed to Oliver the original Manhattan recipe, with rye whisky instead of bourbon, it became his favourite cocktail and now he decided to produce a beer that resembles it.

Between innovative research and political courage of some challenging pioneers, gradually even the beer industry is embracing the next revolution of the world: sustainable growth, limited environmental impact, efficiency and waste reduction. In America, the achievements of some microbreweries are already quite substantial.
